The newest version of BitPIM now supports the Voyager directly.
If someone has a more verbose explanation of the Dial up Networking hack it would be greatly appreciated.
Dial-Up Networking "hack": Changing the NAI settings to remove the "dun" from the dial-up URL just stops the tethered profile from accessing Verizon's DUN proxy server (which brings up the monthly fee warning page and requires subscription). This "fools" Verizon's network into thinking you're browsing from the phone rather than from your computer.
I don't know if Verizon has a way to detect whether you're using the phone's built-in browser or your computer's browser (I suppose there IS a way), but it definitely works, at least short-term. Dunno what other "details" you'd want, but regardless; doing this without paying the monthly phone-as-modem fee goes against Verizon's published terms of service. Do so at your own risk.

Has anyone gotten the WAP settings to work? I don't know how to edit the settings. Any insight would be awesome, I don't like paying $2/Mb.
- Verizon disabled editing this area as well as most of the programmers menu, sadly.

is this mode safe to use? did you make it yourself? it must be connecting to someone's network right? also, do you kno if i am charged when using that "free" internet that comes with the phone?
- It's 2 bucks per Megabyte, it is in no way free.
I dont understand what this site is about? Is it to get free internet access on verizon wireless network? or is it to make the voyager work on other networks like for example Metro PCS. I talked to a guy that said if u get a voyager flashed by Metro he can install internet,pic messaging,music,movies and Brew software on the phone.

so basicly i want to access the feild tests menu like on the other lg phones such as the chloclate you can do motor test and audio things like that i know how to access the service menus on other lg phones you normaly hit pound to access this option but you cna not do that on the voyager beacouse of the keypad and the symbol keys so any help accesing this menu would be great thanks!!!

[edit] Text vs. Web Browser Input Screen
you know what would be amazing is to get the same exterior input screen for the text messaging, as you do for the browser. That would be a 10% improvement in the phone for me. Wouldn't even need to open it to get qwerty.
Someone tell me I can enter a number and get that consistency out of my Voyager.

Ok, theres a new firmware update out, sadly you have to go to the Verizon store to get it updated. But because of this update you can no longer use bitpim to upload flash games to the filesystem. The new update number is, VX10KV07, the old being VX10KV03. Because of this firmware update i am no longer capable of uploading new games through the filesystem. Any help would be appreciated.
- After a quick google search, it seems that the issue has been resolved, the latest bitpim release works for v9.
